Ingrained is a work that looks deeply at the cells and structure of plants. The notion that everything relates to purpose. Taken the time to look within oneself to find our own purpose or direction. Just like valves in the artery or vein there is only one way to move and that’s forward, though if you stand still long enough, you’ll notice everything seems to continue without you, a seemly second or so that we won’t ever get back. I want this work to speak to this, that purpose and direction plays a part in our day to day. The wonder of how I spent the last second or so, and if it was well spent or wasted.
